Built atop a spoil tip, Dawson’s Heights is a monument of the south London skyline. It was designed by architect Kate Macintosh at just 26 years old while she was working in LB Southwark’ in-house architecture department and built at the tail end of a boom in state-led social housing provision in the UK.

Cut, craft and learn about this spectacular building with the paper folding model, before heading out to see it in person using the Pocket London printed self-guided tour. Other highlights include the cloister-like Macintosh Court retirement home in Streatham, the arched streets of Dunbar Dunelm estate in West Norwood, the cascading Central Hill in Crystal Palace, the village-like Lammas Green in Sydenham, and the spectacular commanding Dawson’s Heights in East Dulwich.
